Brainwaves Activities during Resting State: A Neurofeedback Case Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Neurofeedback training (NFT) on a healthy participant was used to analyse brainwave activity during resting state. Electrodes were placed the prefrontal cortex and at reference sites conduct experiment. The patient asked remain still rest by sitting in chair. technology then record electrical waves emitted brain activities. After ten cycles with break interval, theta, alpha, high beta brainwaves discovered. There statistically significant cortex. Remarkably, ascending oscillation range highest, while alpha wave lowest, contradicting earlier results. Anxiety, excitement, focus thought be associated highest of waves.

Resting state functional connectivity predicts neurofeedback response
Tailoring treatments to the specific needs and biology of individual patients-personalized medicine-requires delineation of reliable predictors of response. Unfortunately, these have been slow to emerge, especially in neuropsychiatric disorders. We have recently described a real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging (rt-fMRI) neurofeedback protocol that can reduce contamination-related anx...

BACKGROUND Previous functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies have shown abnormal functional connectivity in regions involved in emotion processing and regulation in pediatric bipolar disorder (PBD). Recent studies indicate, however, that task-dependent neural changes only represent a small fraction of the brain's total activity. How the brain allocates the majority of its resources ...
متن کاملAltered Regional Homogeneity in Pediatric Bipolar Disorder during Manic State: A Resting-State fMRI Study
UNLABELLED Pediatric bipolar disorder (PBD) is a severely debilitating illness, which is characterized by episodes of mania and depression separated by periods of remission. Previous fMRI studies investigating PBD were mainly task-related. However, little is known about the abnormalities in PBD, especially during resting state. Resting state brain activity measured by fMRI might help to explore...
